Sons And Daughters Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Sons And Daughters

sons of light,
Daughters of light,
Beauty's pride;
Sons and daughters!
Summer's hope;
But, the sweet pleasure of pain comes from the odds of this life.

Lessons of the morning,
Sweet love and pleasure things;
Lessons of the afternoon,
With the muse of the sun at watch!
And gazed on the fair who caused his or her care.
Fair, air!
With lessons of the evening;
As one goes along the muse of life.

Unfair sharing of a country's wealth!
Like the tears of an election being rigged in the land of corruption;
Having bilked the taxpayer's money.
Silk, milk, bilk!
With the muse of life in the land of corruption;
Gazed on beauty who caused his or her care.
