Sonnet - My Mind Has Peace Again Poem by Dr John Celes

A newer inner energy has come,
And seized my wearied heart and mind, of late;
I feel rejuvenated, no more glum;
A divine direction, now steers my fate.

I sleep less, work more, pray so frequently;
I read the Bible, hear scriptures broadcast;
I go about extra confidently;
My depressed state is leaving me at last.

Perhaps, Heaven has heard my pleas at last!
God has ushered a mental peace again;
My threatening days are leaving me quite fast;
I feel I am right in the Maker’s lane.

While evil-plots have failed to work on me,
God has bestowed a new immunity.
