Sonnet - Risks Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet - Risks

Rating: 4.0

Sometimes, the risks we take are colossal!
Just for the sake of some extra-money;
Sometimes, the risk is inevitable;
You have to face the Bees, to get honey.

There is a risk in things, all that we do;
To what extent to take is the question;
A man could die in a water-pool too!
There're risks to progress for any nation.

A risk to soul, no one should ever take;
No mortal sin is worth its weight in joy;
If sugar's burnt, it turns useless the cake;
On seeing land, the Captain cries, ' Ahoy! '

One's risks should not outweigh the sequelae;
Regain soul's purity, don’t you delay.
