Sonnet Death Poem by victoria martinez

Sonnet Death

To be the grieving spider tangled in its web
To hold the anxiety and fear
That this moment of death may be only in your head
And soft voices beckoning that you give up is all you hear
.
Helpless overflow of all you wish you could retain
Because the cries before death cause you no shame
Left alone to deal with your own pain
The feeling of there is only you to blame
.
Wishing that once you are above
Looking down on the earthly hell
You can finally feel all lost love
Because you are completely released from an emotional cell
.
In death we no longer stumble
And the loss of our worldly possessions leaves us humble
