Sonnet: A Trinity Is Not Immutable Poem by Mark J. Schulte

Sonnet: A Trinity Is Not Immutable

John Allman, the recently installed Headmaster at Trinity School in New York City is doing an outstanding job. This is dedicated to him.

Yes, three-hundred years of academic tradition,
but burdened by present day troubles and woes,
a school seeks the gift of his quiet erudition,
and actions that lead to a better tableau.

Some say he's a prophet, an agent of change.
A Vox in the desert intent upon preaching?
Yet one would not think it entirely strange
that the 'gospel' of John is focused on teaching.

Touching his'try, physics, athletics and more,
his theory is simple and based on the notion
that it can be better and the luster restored,
by subscribing to Newton's first law of motion.

Action, progress, change and renew.
Movement and substance; to inertia - adieu.
