Sonnet 62 - This Platform Of Desire Is Where I've Clung Poem by James Crieta

Sonnet 62 - This Platform Of Desire Is Where I've Clung

Rating: 5.0

This platform of desire is where I've clung
to echo all of it. Their prying eyes
immobilize this careful, timid tongue
of mine. Unstated words as cold as ice
stab deep, as it is twiddled through my soul's
flesh. Kindly pour the Darj'ling tea anew
for me and let me sway away these ghouls
that feed on me; on rotten dreams they chew.

Or is it me alone who drowns myself
in whirlpools swirling down the void? I might
confuse the river from the sea, an elf
from titans. Oh! This mind has no fine sight!
Relax me with what truths your stares behold
which startles that one calming storm untold.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The sonnet number does not mean it's the 62nd sonnet I wrote. It's just a significant number that I think is fitting for the content of my sonnet.
