Songbird Poem by S.A.M Momin

Songbird

Rating: 4.9

O Dearest Songbird
In the rich silence of night
Such sonorous songs
Thou singest. Surrendering
My soul, I watch thee
Thine slender silhouette carved
Against the luminous
Moon. Thine tender tunes
Ring among tenebrous trees
Swaying to thy songs

Oft in solitude
When my soul is lugubrious
I recall thy songs
Soothe my sore heart, seek solace
In thy harmony
