Sometimes A Struggle Poem by Ray Hansell

Sometimes A Struggle

A poet writes
So much said
A million thoughts
Run throught their head

Thoughts of love
Thoughts of pain
Thoughts of life's
Never ending games

Thoughts of romance
Thoughts of dreams
Thoughts that life
Is not what it seems

Thoughts of hearts
Broken in two
Wondering if a new love
Will be the healing glue

Thoughts of hope
That fills a soul
Loving again
The ultimate goal

Thoughts of loneliness
So many feel
A feeling to them
That's so very real

Thoughts of life
As it unwinds
Before our eyes
Hoping to find

All the things in life
That people feel are missing
Hoping in their hearts
With all that they are missing

That one day they will find
What they are looking for
That life once again
Opens a brand new door

A poet bears their soul
With the words that they write
Sometimes struggling with pain
To make sure it comes out right
