Solo En La Tapa Poem by William Cavanagh

Solo En La Tapa

Jennifer she strolled a stubborn street
Our motley lot beheld her heel to crown
She was stunning a rank beyond elite
Eyes so cozy cushy caramel brown
She was dignified polished elegance
A pitch aloft perfection to the word
Everyman’s fancy trance of true romance
And all the women they too concurred
As she had been courted by men of means
Men of great intuition wealth and guise
Spited by accomplished ladies and queens
Jaundiced for capital caramel eyes
And to her cheerless end, a love unknown
For stood Jennifer, peerless and all alone
