Solitude Poem by Victor Henderson

Solitude

Feelings wash over me like waves
Have you ever felt this way,

At times I feel there's something keeping me from sleep
Maybe a beast,

I roam my mind reversing time
Perhaps to fix mistakes,

Although I see I try to ignore being seen
Maybe I never feel worthy of your glimpse,

I often write to myself to retell old stories
Perhaps I feel I'm the only one who understands me,

Asking questions in the dark
Because the light doesn't answer me.
