Solace Poem by Abby Bilan

Solace

Mind’s calm
Mine’s comfort
Hand my palm
Silence the retort

Open my fists
Widen my eyes
Free the mists
And I shalt see the skies

Blind the night
Sail the darkness
Conquer the light
Conjure the madness

Feint the smile
Smile thy heart
Heart of freedom
Freedom’s never less
Less burden
Burdened lad
