So what?

To kya hua? Hamne to padh liyaa
Apnaa haath dhire se aaghe badha diyaa
Thamaa haath jigar ke tukde kaa
Bas fir to ho gayaa jo hona athaa

तो क्या हुआ? हमने तो पढ़ लिया
अपना हाथ धीरे से आगे बढ़ा लिया
थामा हाथ जिगर के टुकड़े का
बस फिर तो हो गया जो होना था।

So what? I read message
Approached with caution and managed
Held hand of beloved with care
The dream came true with simple dare

Naa karte ham koi pahel
To tut jaataa sapno ka mahel
Naa basaa paate diloki pehchan
Bas yuhi samajlo karidyaa unhone ek ehsaan

ना करते हम कोई पहल
तो टूट जाता सपनों का महल
ना बसा पाते दिलों में पहचान
बस यूँही समझ लो कर दिया उन्होंने एक एहसान।

Had I not taken step further?
The dream palace could have crumbled here
The love could go no further
By silent acceptance, she has granted an honor

Bus ab to nazaara hi luchh or hai
Paanv dharti par rukte nahi hai
Aanand ki to puchho hi nahi baat
Din bit gayaa or ho gai raat

बस अब तो नज़ारा ही कुछ ओर है
पाँव धरती पर रुकते ही नहीं है
आनंद की तो पूछो ही नहीं कोई बात
दिन बीत गया अब तो हो गयी रात।

Now world is totally different
I dance with no tiredness in feet
There is limitless joy
The sun has set and moon is there to enjoy
