Snowdrop Poem by Bill Smith

Snowdrop

I see you slowly emerging from the dark
Reaching for light
Your smile as petals,
Pristine, white,
Unfolding into spring
My memory in time lapse mode
Captures the moments to keep forever
Tangled in the roots of the Snowdrop
Strangled by a harsh winter
Waiting for the warmth of summer
Rests the real you
An Orchid
The most precious of rare and beautiful flowers
