Snow That's White As Skin Poem by gershon hepner

Snow That's White As Skin

The snowstorm’s best in white, the trees
look best in red each fall,
the flowers loveliest when bees
add to their color gall.
My love has skin that's white as snow,
her lips are ruby red,
her nipples hang with Gallic glow
from snow-breasts in my bed.
Snow that’s white as skin
in shower or in bath
leads me to thoughts that slide on sin,
while tripping on its path.

Inspired by a poem on winter by John Clare, which has the line:

The snowstorm's best in white.
