Slumberland Poem by Doris Cornago

Slumberland

Donning
My red riding
Hood cape, atop
An all-black outfit
Pink colored glasses
Sets me adrift in a haze
Of multicolored emotions
Ticking out days on my wall
Hearing hoots of a night owl
Starlit sky makes me smile
Blue fireflies fill my room
Spooning on the moon
Crowding out gloom
With you tonight
Slumberland
Swoon

For those ready
to take the chance
'Slumberland'
