Sleepless Nights Poem by Megan Lee

On so many nights
There's no sleeping for me
Because of what you do
To my mind, heart, and soul
I'm confused, amazed
And constantly wondering
How in the world you do this
You keep me up at night
You make my eyes shine bright
And my heart never puts up a fight
I don't know how, why, or even what it is
You do to me
But I can honestly tell you that I
Will give up so much more sleep for that feeling
Slowly preparing myself for the next day
When I see you smile
And my heart does that
Little gymnastics-type flip
All because of something I don't know
That one little thing you do to me
On those many sleepless nights
