Sleep Poem by Malik-seven Navarre

Sleep

Rating: 5.0

At night I never sleep at all.
When sleep I never dream.
I know because I wake appalled,
And can’t recall a thing.

I miss the sunray’s aging threat.
My thoughts are dark, nocturnal.
Attempts to sleep just end with rest.
Or me being controversial.

I envy babies and the old,
Who fall asleep with ease.
And children who sleep when they're told.
They all have lovely dreams.

lf I was god, all should beware.
I’d blindly turn my cheek.
For without doubt, regret, or care.
All I would do is SLEEP.

Ha Ha Ha! Enjoyed reading this poem very much, you do have a good personality hidden within these lines, love your sense of humor! Great poem on sleep or the lack thereof. I agree, children and elderly do at times fall asleep easily, yet when older we tend to not sleep as many hours as when younger. Thank you very much for sharing this poem. RoseAnn
