O' Journal, My Journal Poem by Malik-seven Navarre

O' Journal, My Journal

Rating: 5.0

O' Journal, My Journal.
A friend you are, my best.
When I'm upset, you kill my stress,
To you I can confess.

O' Journal, My journal.
I'm mad and filled with rage.
When in this phase, my pen relays,
My fiery feelings set ablaze.
And then, when calm, I turn the page.

I feel that I might blow a wheel,
That I might start a fight.
But when I'm with you, instead I feel,
The desperate need to write.

I feel that I might pop a lung,
If only I could scream.
But then O'Journal, my burning sun,
My friend who'll never leave,
With pen in hand, at my command,
You're like a lovely dream.

At ease, I put down, and feel,
Your energy maternal.
My problems cease, and I'm at peace.
Thank you 'O' Journal, My Journal'

Definitely love this poem! Can identify with feeling anger and rage at times, wanting to run, scream or hide from life. Yet after writing in a poetry journal, like you have stated, problems cease and we're at peace. Wonderful imagery, emotion and feelings! Felt emotions intensely and vibrantly for sure. Your rhythm is impeccable, great poem! I definitely like your style, please keep writing, you are very good at expressing your feelings poetically. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
