Sleep Poem by Bethany Waters

Sleep

Night after night,
Moon kissed
We return to this place

A ballroom dance in circles
Naked Toes skimming the smooth stone
With mere inches between us
Your breath gracing my skin
Calling me to give in
To follow your lead
And ignore the moments

Your beautiful comfort calls me to ignore
The life you slowly steal

The sky whispers my name
The grass bemoans my engagement
Urging me not to give in

My weakness frustrates
As you climb into my body
Breaking time

'My weakness frustrates As you climb into my body Breaking time' Very nicely done... I will think of your poem when tonight sleep climbs into my body once again.
