Sister Dearest Poem by Abigail Hauschild

Sister Dearest

Rating: 4.0

Break my heart darling
I can take it I swear
Throw your poison darts
They are only words after all
Thrash and scream
Throw a chair if you'd like

When your anger is spent
And tears come like a summer storm
Crawl into my arms
I'll hold you like it never hurt me at all
Better to endure your abuse
Than for you to tear yourself to pieces
I can hide my pain much easier
Than I can mend your fractured soul
Each piece of your porcelain heart
Pierces my shaking hands
I was only trying to hold you together

Pain, yours or mine, our only connection
Blood sisters who share the same wounds
But were left with different scars entirely
Even through the tears I promise
I'll sacrifice myself to see you survive
For this is what love is supposed to be
Right?

Indeed very touching..what a great heart you have. If only every man, every woman thinks like this, the world will be a better place. Thanks for sharing!
