Sinister Smiles Poem by Devon Maxwell

Sinister Smiles

Sinister Smiles
Turn the corner
to sinister smiles
not much to say
i haven't bled in a while

Whatever it takes
to say that i am numb,
broken, frozen, life-less

Whatever it takes
for you to hear,
to listen, pay attention
for once...

Now you are kept in memories
deep in my broken-heart
and i am kept in nothing
deep in the soul of a heart-breaker

Those sinister smiles
they begin to look fimiliar
the thoughts in my head
bring up all the pain

Whatever it takes,
I think you heard
you listened, payed attention
for once...
