Single (Put Some Pain On It) Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Single (Put Some Pain On It)

Not getting love
Time to hang up
What mean you none but pain
Got to be hip
Flip the script
Don't care to hear sorry
I ain't loving you
You ain't loving me
Taking back the time and attention
Love didn't live here
Spent enough of my years
giving you love only
didn't like me,
all you did was
put some pain on it
Can't get mad when you see
someone else own it
I'm on a level going up
so beyond and above
what in the past
just hasn't been seen
Got a new love and it's enough
our hearts have run in sync
Can't forget in addition,
such good condition
receiving all the attention
what you can not give
All that you have did
Someday you'll be sorry
Don't take me for granted
then expect to get chances
love is what I deserve, it's all I prefer
but if you can't love me, the best of me
is going to find a heart who can mirror
what i'm going to deliver
play your games elsewhere
This is the truth found here
if it belongs to everybody
then you're somebody they don't want
so disappear like a ghost
what's beautiful ain't cherished most
