Since The Darkness Came Poem by Addy Adenawo

Since The Darkness Came

Like a shy bride, she hides
Her face obscured by the veils
Of grey and weak whites
Her piercing beams again fails

Evil walked with freedom
It's fangs glistening in the dark
The children stayed indoors
Even dogs swallowed their barks

Heroes have fallen in the darkness
Swallowed by their bravery
Pulled down by our vileness
Cursed to remain only in our revery

An injustice and a price
A necessity to free the moon bride
