Dreamer Girl Poem by Addy Adenawo

Dreamer Girl

She dreams of a world much larger than this
A world that can come alive at the flick of her wrist
She lives this enchanted world through her books
Each coarse page filled with nobles, knights and even crooks

The desire to burst out of her shell reverberate from every pore
To go to the ends of the earth and explore
The world is her oyster where possibilities are ripe and crude
She seeks an opportunity to prove herself an edible fruit

To visit the wonders of the world
Of kings and queens in their royal robe
To behold the incredible splendor of their courts
The depthless well of treasures and magnificent palaces to flaunt

All her fantasies come alive in her head
She sees them crystal clear
Nothing can stop her whether lethal or viral
The sky can't be the limit, it has no solid barrier

Whatever she wants all she has to do is dream
Of wining and dining with royalty till she's filled to the brim
She'd reach high and touch the sky
And reaching even higher, from the galaxy, she'd bade her shell a hearty goodbye.
