Since She Was Around Poem by wayne bright

Since She Was Around

You told me that you knew
What she was doing all the time
Condemning all her actions
When she had committed no crime
Told me that you didn't need her
You said that you could let her go
Said you had seen her with another
The truth was you didn't know

And I haven't seen you happy since
Well? Since she was around

I see that look in your eyes
She is always on your mind
But you wont go and break the ice
Your afraid of what you will find
So you just keep it all wound up inside
And say no woman can bring you down
But I haven't seen you happy since
Well? Since she was around
