Eternal Emptiness Poem by wayne bright

Eternal Emptiness

Rating: 5.0

I have the power
That comes with the emblem on my crest
I have the courage
Of the lion tattooed on my chest
I have been a knight in shining armor
Doing heavenly deeds
I have been the ruler of the night
Fulfilling nocturnal needs
I have been one with a river
I have ridden a cloud in the sky
I am eternal I will not die
Yet I still feel empty
Without your love and your grace
I long for you
I just can not forget your face
But these kind of feelings
Are something that could cause my fall
Only for your everlasting love
Would I ever consider giving up it all
I have been one with a river
I have ridden a cloud in the sky
I am eternal I will not die
I know my dreams are useless
Because you have long ago been taken by the past
And I will always live on
While your life ended to fast
So as I step into the future
And leave your shadow behind
I will seek out a new love
And try to get some peace of mind
I have been one with a river
I have ridden a cloud in the sky
I am eternal I will not die

I am eternal I will not die Yet I still feel empty Without your love and your grace I long for you........... yet i will seek out a new love and will enjoy peace of mind. that is my hope . i am strong and i fly on the skies but without you........ strength, weakness, sense of the lost love........ struggle to be again in love..... all these feelings and emotions you have portrayed well in this poem dear poet. thank you very much. tony
