Sin To Sin Poem by Nicholas Peter

Sin To Sin

Bless the body
and give me my daily bread.

Drink the wine
and taste the sanguine treasure.

I am cold and unyielding
and your sins taste like ash to my lips.

I can feel your transgressions
and all your former holy dreams.

I love you and your hell
you get a little more lost each day.

Your sin outweighs your heaven
and you couldn't find any paradise.

You completely fell one day
dropping down from the cosmos.
