Simpleton Poem by Caleb Gonzales

Simpleton

Living in a fantasy
Living a life of a simpleton, simple minded
Running a race in a dream you thought you won
Every competitor yourself, every person you tried being
Running right passed you
Trying to find a straight path
The only one he knows, lost along the way
Blinded by deceit, knocked off my feet, no air...
By the force of the impact on my life
I know I'm predictable, sorry
I have a problem when it comes to being stable, but maybe in time i will be able
Until then I'll find my own way in my dream race
