~ Silhouettes. ~ Poem by Michael Lanahan

~ Silhouettes. ~

“Silhouettes”. 109.

Dream upon the Moon and make of her liaisons,

Enchantment in her glow lends romance its’ reasons,

Don the robes of twilight with sequined stars adorn,

Hide among the evening mist where fantasies are born,

Walk amidst the shadows become such silhouette,

Dance lightly with the woodland folk the Elf or sweet Nymphet,

Steal from dark her mystery and from the Owl its’ flight,

Float on breeze of Thistledown swain spirit of delight,

Weave spells of things nocturnal oblations of desire,

Ride Moonbeams to deserted beach to set the seas on fire,

Erase your footprints from the sand as waves at tidal flood,

Drink deep of life’s quintessence imaginations blood,

So, Dream upon the Moon whose sorcery enchants,

And you may find her courtiers all playing to your dance.
