Eerie, chilly, mystifying
Corridors of darkness, unending
Caveats of terror, awaiting
Silent night, terrifying!

Footsteps without legs, approaching
Movements of the unknown, silhouetting
Trespassing, one corner to the other
Silent night, mystifying!

Flashing eyes without the head
Unattached hands, groping fiercely
Trembling, shaking, in the long silent night
Flash! Light piercing through eyes
Still, silent, silly in a passing dream
A new day born out of a silent night! !
