I never awaited you at my doorsill…
I never expect your lovely gaze upon me.
I never walked through the shore stringing your hands,
I never lied down on your shoulder for comfort.

I never told you fables under the shade of trees…
I never sharpened my ears to your whisperings.
I never long for your warm touch and care…
I never run into your open arms for consolation.

I never throb my heart for your tender kiss…
I never look at you with a lustful eye.
I never chirp at you for the stars or the moon…
I never do any petty quarrels.

I never get excited at your sudden sight…
I never wink my eyes at your departure.
I never smear fragrance or attire to draw you near…
I never expect gifts wrapped with your love.

I never wish for long talks in the chill nights...
I never seize you in my world of dreams.
I never express my sorrows and surrender my thoughts…
I never try to peer or wrestle with your thoughts.

Yes! ! amiably I compromise with my heart…
Lock my emotions and pluck off my desires.

Because this is just my silent love for someone….
