Silent Burden Poem by Tracy Galloway

Silent Burden

Rating: 5.0

Eclipse my reason
Silent undeniable
wanted burden
I lure it
Lilting over bated breath
Opaque in my head
And clear in my depth
Heavy warmth
You become me well
As becoming calms my consciousness
The din of distance dims
I sleep
Possessed in your lullaby
Humming calmly two into one
No less sacred
Your proclamation
than quiet indistinguishable murmur
The hush begets melody
