Silence Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Silence

Rating: 5.0

Your desire shows;
I sense
it's turgid rumblings
quiescent, silent graspings;
that body tension
which seeks to control
feel me me release
at your only direction
control is my desire
I want to experience it
both ways
even as I so often
have relinquished it
to you and others.
Shuuh,
Quiet now
no words
for this is not time for speaking
only for receiving
what I choose to give
my body
now
directing your body
this
is my body's redemption
its communion
with its lost parts
it's lost needs
its attempt to become whole.
Give my our mouth
because now it is mine.
Give me your heart,
because I have touched it
even as you were afraid
to acknowledge thus
Silence
is the altar here.
