Silence Poem by tiffany fawcett

Silence

Silence

I have lived in silence too long
Can anyone see it?
The pain etched in my face as I remember
I feel tired of being forgotten, ignored

I am here
See me
Feel me
Love me

I have lived in silence too long
Can anyone hear those nasty words you say?
Those brutal things you put on me
Can anyone make it go away?

I am here
See me
Feel me
Love me

I have lived in silence too long
Can anyone help me?
I need out of this misery
I will not be forgotten, ignored

I am here
See me
Feel me
Love me

I am stepping out today
Being myself instead of everything else
Loving me for me
I am no longer forgotten, ignored

I am here.
