Do You Believe In God? Poem by tiffany fawcett

Do You Believe In God?

Rating: 5.0

He walks up to the next prisoner in line
He felt sorry for him
Staring at this man, with his hair cut short and his blue eyes sorrowful, he felt a sharp pang of guilt
He knew this man and he would be the one to end his life
He levels the shotgun right between his eyes and says the next five words that will determine his death
'Do you believe in God? '
There are two different anwsers with two different endings
Yes: you live a life for God and God only
No: You have no life
The man looks up at the guard with sheer melancholy and says:
'No but before you shoot me, I want to tell you something. Since you're a Christian, and you have already killed, you should save the last bullet for yourself. For you have sinned.'
