Side Mirrors Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Side Mirrors

Side mirrors

Side mirrors are my love
Of those who are front
I look and cautiously
Take note of behaviours.

Some smoke with a hand
Getting rid of the ash
Extended, film-noir, fantasy
The movement of a palm.

One drinks holding cup
in times in and times out
Some chew on sandwich
And funny are the bites.

Some throw the trash
Skin, pit of fruit.

Sometimes I study
The rings and bracelets
Or the nails with polish
Times with tan or cream.

But stick my nose in
The faces in turning
Left and right in angles
Even the passengers.

Side mirrors are movies
I select my own seat
No popcorn and no coke
And there is no ticket…
