Shut Down (Covid-19) Poem by Hebert Logerie

Shut Down (Covid-19)

Rating: 5.0

No schools
No churches
Everything is shut down
No pools
No beaches
Everything is closed down
For a long time
Even crime
Is down
The streets are empty
COVID-19 is epizootic and deadly
The world is in a panic mode
Everybody is carrying a heavy load
Everybody is scared and depressed
Everyone is under stress
Nobody to impress
Yet, we're still blessed
This is a time of sorrow
Yes, we'll have a tomorrow
Full of doubt and uncertainty
Full of sadness and misery
Without the kisses of Mother Nature
There will not be a decent future
People are dying. The virus is deadly
This is not a joke. This is not a comedy
We need smarter and better leadership
To stir-up, to control, to pilot the mega ship
To eradicate the contagious and fatal virus
The bias and the chaos, and to topple the crisis.
