Shrouded Vale Poem by Logan Fulk

Shrouded Vale

A pure white shroud of mist manifest
The dark secrets we try to keep repressed
In a creeping vale of fog
we hide a deep emotional bog

In the smoke of raging flame
It hides the only one to blame
In a hot and damp steam
We hide all of our malicious dreams

In a cloud of dust we hide
While all the violence slowly subsides
In a gentle cloud we weep
Trying to wake us from our endless sleep

In the rain we bear inside
All the pain we try to bide
At the bottom of a lake
We reminisce of the times we faked

In the middle of winter’s frost
In the wake of a crashing wave
We mourn for all the lives we lost
And dream of all the lives we saved
