Shoes Poem by Joshua Bantum

Shoes

Surrounded by shoes,
Nothing but shoes,
They talk about shoes,
Sell their soul to someone,
As long as they excepted
The discount offered on the new pair of
Shoes

All is dark,
In a well lighted place,
So you can see how dark they really are,
It’s no wonder they don’t look at me,
Their pretty eyes are blinded by the
Whole mess,
I’d take it personal,
But to the shoes
That’d be selfish,
I Could never do that when those shoes have more of a soul
Then the ones who
Handle them.
