Your First: Your Only: Poem by Joshua Bantum

Your First: Your Only:

Let every kiss
be the last every time
its the only way you'll be grateful

Like the road you've traveled times before
Forget the memories
that you have but stored

Let it remain a path of ash
that with every moment
like a breeze,
wipes your footsteps
from its caste

Let it all be your first
let it be your only.

I see you are new here. You are definitely in the right place. You know kids do this.....as if each time is the first time. The way we are reminded to behave toward God, as little children. Perhaps when each prayer is answered we will be just as grateful as we were the first time too.
