Shiv Poem by Douglas Scotney

Shiv

Modesty in a phone
predicts 'shiv'
when texting for a 't'.

'Shiv' is thieves slang for 'knife',
and what Parvati calls her man.

Text 'shiv' and I get the 't'
with an S;
as if it's a name or a country.

There aren't any in the atlas or phonebook;
I had a look.

Lovely poem. Hindus worship their trinity of Gods- Brahma (creator) , Vishnu (preserver) and Shiv (destroyer) . Thanks.
