Ships Poem by Marc Goddard

Ships

Life is like an ocean,
across which we all must sail.
Sometimes it calm and tranquil,
sometimes a raging gale.

We fight for our survival,
from the day that we are born.
And like the captain of the ship,
must weather every storm.

We learn that life's a mixture,
of good things and of bad.
Some days we will be happy,
and others will be sad.

Throughout our lives there will be lots,
of battles to be fought.
Our characters are built upon,
the lessons we are tought.

And when we reach the other side,
our ships have come to rest.
Just take a good hard look at life,
and know you've done your best!

Yes. I really liked this one. Nice and bouncy, up and down like the ocean waves.
