Shine On Poem by Ima Ryma

Shine On

Rating: 5.0

In summertime the sunlight be
A welcome when days are longest,
Bringing the vital energy
To leaves when rays are strongest.
It is this time in each year that
The tree most needs help from the sun
To shine upon its habitat
So food production can be done.
The sunlight lets the leaves produce
All the food that the tree will need,
And be available for use
When there's no sun or leaves indeed.

Called photosynthesis and is
How the tree does mind its own biz.
