She Cries Poem by M.A. Ces

She Cries

She’s such a lovely girl. She’s always so sweet. She always has a smile on her face. She listens, never speaks. She’s clever and hard-working. She’s understanding and forgiving. She’s just too good.

But have you ever seen her cry. REALLY cry. Not cry because of goodbyes or sad movies, but cry because of her life. She cries because she’s tired of being so sweet and caring for everyone. She cries because she’s tired of smiling. She cries because she wants to speak and be taken seriously. She cries because she’s tired of working so hard. She cries because she never really understands and doesn’t have it in her to forgive. She cries because there’s a void in her heart. She cries because her life isn’t how she wanted it to be. She cries because she feels alone. She cries and cries and cries, because there isn’t really anything else she could do....only cry.
