She Poem by Peter Handlin

She

I
waiting
She’s battled the secret Iridescence of her likely self
Aware
yet caught
Then flailing bitterly against an imploding former truth
ceaseless
ceaseless
ceaseless
lost
She might be what I fear most
But will never come to know
Someone's inadvertent choice
Not mine
