She Poem by Gary Hembree

She

Rating: 3.3

She stands there in the rain with a sad look on her face.
She was once full of joy and life but that's all gone now.
She now believes as if people look right through her.
She closes her eyes and begins to dream about flying.
As the cold air passes her face she for the first time in a long time smiles.
And as she comes to a landing she realizes there is no more pain, no more sadness, no more life.

For those reading this poem I would also read He by Gary Hembree. It seems to go along with this one. Maybe this was the girl that got away. And maybe she saw the he from the other poem, and that made her lose her 'life' in such complete peace and serenity.
