Shattered Poem by Cookie Matzii

I've been sleeping so late for the past few days,
thinking of you 'till my thoughts just fade away.
But I guess that won't change a thing at all,
it will just leave me here.. waiting 'till I fall.

Though I know you don't feel the way I do,
there's still a part of me saying, ' I know you would too.'
So I'll just sit here and take one glance at a time,
and try to look away when I feel your eyes on mine.

I see my hopes shattered when you are with her,
knowing very well that I can never be better.
So I guess all my hopes and my love for you,
was just a plain old dream and never to be true.

Now I have to start over.. just get rid of the past.
Move on, love again.. even for just one last.
Though I know I'll find it hard,
I know it'd be for good,
'cause someday I'll find my man,
and love him 'till I could.
For with him my life be spent..
to the fullest possible extent.
