Shall Not Care Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Shall Not Care

Shall not care

I wish and pray
For their comfortable and peaceful stay
As they are part of my family
I have grown full tree

Had it been confined to me?
My thoughts could flee
Some more towards others
And wish them to usher too

But alas! I will not do
As I am not true to conscious
If I do the same with folded hands
The god shall certainly lend favor and mercy at the end

For the whole of life
I lived with torn strife
Still learnt nothing
And finally lost everything

No one was near
And I feared
I will die claimless
And members shall not care to tress even

Brothers and sisters
When talk to parents
Their tone is selfish
As if sacred relation is finished

Shall Not Care
