Shadow Poem by Edwin Robinette

Shadow

Paranoia stifles my soul

I vision its form without
Yet, sense it from within

A dark shadow of a man
Exactly as I
Imitating my every move

Is this an offset dimension of myself
Or a dark, forboding entity
Waiting, watching, witnessing

Does it abandon me at dusk
Or hide cleverly in the darkness
I have this need to know

This may be madness on my part
Or insanely pure clarity

I have yet to choose
