Sailing Poem by Edwin Robinette

Sailing

Rating: 5.0

Anxious for the odor of a salty sea
Yearning for the sound of flapping sails
I set my heading to drift among
The whitecaps and the whales

Ocean waves gently slap my bow
As I lazily steer from the stern
A blending of the ocean sky horizon
Allow me a freedom of no concern

Relishing the feel of wind blown hair
Cool breezes against my skin
Sailing appears to be the answer
For amazing peace and calm within

Nice poem about sailing. I like the way you write this. You can almost smell the sea and feel the breezes and see the horizon with this poem. Thanks for sharing it. Sincerely, Connie Webb
